The Maltatal is in the Central Eastern Alps, in the Malta valley, south of Salzburg, Austria. It hosts a wide range of climbing opportunities in one of Europe's most pituresque and unspoilt areas.
This guidebook is split in to three sections: sport climbing, Alpine climbing and bouldering.
The sport climbing section describes single and multi-pitch bolted routes of varying grades across 18 crags from the base of the valley to high mountain areas.
The Alpine section covers rock routes up to 3350m.
There are two bouldering areas - Tal der Konige and the world famous Schleierwasserfall.
The guidebook is mostly in the German language with some English, including access, approach information, and an overview of the crags
